Obituary
Waunakee – Betty Shepherd (nee Karls) passed away on Saturday, April 24, 2021. She was a loving wife of 70 years to Robert Shepherd. Betty was a dedicated mother and homemaker, whose patience, kindness, and endless love enriched her family throughout her 92 years of life.
Betty is survived by her husband, Robert Shepherd; Sons: Gary Shepherd, Steve, (Barb) Shepherd and Tom (Cindy Holzum) Shepherd; Daughter, Jane (Dave) Armstrong of Milwaukee; Grandchildren: Sarah (Sava Parisi) Holzum, Brian (Keara) Armstrong, Mike (Chelsea) Armstrong, Julie Armstrong, Barry (Ashley) Shepherd and Frances (Dylan Gawne) Shepherd; Great-Grandchildren: Henry, Milo, Bennett and Madelyn; her brother, Richard (Carol) Karls; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Frances Karls; and her sisters: Lois Gullickson, Mary Sutton and Joan Ochalla.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at ST. MARY OF THE LAKE CATHOLIC CHURCH, 5460 Mary Lake Rd, Westport at 1:00 PM on Friday, May 7, 2021 with Msgr. James Gunn presiding. Visitation will be held at Noon until the time of Mass. A Private family burial will follow.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Betty’s name to St. Mary of the Lake Catholic Church or Agrace Hospice.
