Richard Radzicki
August 23, 1934 - May 09, 2024
Obituary
SUN PRAIRIE - Richard Lee Radzicki died peacefully on May 9, 2024 at the VA Hospital. He was born in Chicago, Ill. on August 23, 1934 to Leo and Valerie (Tabisz) Radzicki. He was the third of four children and the only son. After graduating from high school, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy. He proudly served on the USS Rolette (AKA-99) as the Korean War came to a close.
On September 7, 1957, Dick married Roberta Kozial. Soon after he was married, he attended Loyola University on the G.I. Bill. In 1960, he received a B.S. in commerce and started a career in accounting. During this time, Dick and Roberta started their family of five children.
The family moved to Sheboygan, Wis., in 1970, where Dick became the controller at Pemco, Inc. A few years later he earned his M.S. in accounting. After Dick retired, the couple relocated to Waunakee. In 2016, they moved to Sun Prairie.
Dick loved the Catholic Church (in which he was always active) and chocolate. He was proud to be Polish and could talk for hours about the wonders of Chicago’s grid system, which he thought every city should adopt. He also loved to watch television, laugh and drink an occasional Old Fashioned.
Dick is survived by his wife, Roberta, and children Mike (Julie) Radzicki, Sue (Bill) Matheson, Melanie (Ed) McManus, Dave (Kathy) Radzicki and Alison (Michele Walker) Radzicki. He is further survived by 12 grandchildren: Nathaniel Radzicki, Amanda (Brian) Ayotte, Ben (Alicia) Radzicki, Tim McManus, Emily (Kyle) Marinoff, Molly (Chris) Hagen, Amy (Ben) Chester, Maura (Andy Junghans), Joe (Angela) Matheson, Kelly Radzicki, Bridget Radzicki, and Nick Matheson. He is also survived by 10 great-grandchildren and his younger sister, Diane Sabal. Dick was preceded in death by his parents, Leo and Valerie Radzicki, and older sisters Dorothy Altman and Patsy Kedzie.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Albert the Great Catholic Church, 2420 St. Albert the Great Dr., Sun Prairie, on Saturday, May 18, at 11:00 a.m. Visitation will be held at the church from 10-11:00 a.m.
Special thanks to Dick’s wonderful caretakers at Agrace Hospice: Kelly, Jenny, and Marie. A huge thank you to special caretaker, Linda. Finally, we would like to recognize the VA Hospice Unit for the outstanding care and respect they showed Dick.
Memorials may be made to the Colonial Club (Adult Day Care) in Sun Prairie or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. We love you, Dad!

One of God's best servants was the first thought that came to my mind, and I can't think of a better one. May God give you the kind of welcome you always gave to others along with your wife of so many years, Roberta, both charming and full of good humor and kindness! With love, Peg Richards

So sorry to hear of Dick's passing. Dick and Roberta lived next door to us when Joe and I moved to Sheboygan with our 2 year old Cory. Our first morning in our house Roberta brought over warm muffins that she made and welcomed us to the neighborhood we've been friends ever since and this was a 1978. He will be dearly missed we have many happy memories with them.
