Helen Martin has many fond memories of her good High school friend, Millie Hoppenjon. She sends her love and Sympathy. We will try to get her to the Funeral. God bless you all. Helen remembers that "at one time Millie had wanted to be a Nun and Dick wanted to be a Priest". Helen remembers " I spent time with Jane, Millie and Ann laughing and joking"... We sat next to each other at basketball games in Cuba City"

HI, I didn't know Millie, but knowing Dick, I'm sure that they had a wonderful marriage, loving each other and serving God and serving others. June Huizenga, DPI Colleague

Aunt Millie lived with confidence in her faith in God and the teachings of the Catholic Church. As a young boy, I remember sensing that she set high standards for others and for herself. There was a right way to do things. One example was her home. It was always as neat as a pin. I always felt that I should be careful not to make any kind of a mess...and of course, I knew I had to take my shoes off. It was easy to be a kid "who was seen and not heard" when Mom and Aunt Millie were talking. I think that might have been a Hoppenjan characteristic...no uncomfortable silences to deal with. We believe that Aunt Millie is Heaven and with her savior Jesus Christ. Our prayers are with Uncle Dick and their beautiful family. They remind of the quote attributed to Francis of Assisi, "Preach the Gospel at all times and if necessary, use words." Ben & Katie Riechers
