Obituary

Madison – Ruth M. Rand, age 95, passed away on November 19, 2022. She was born on January 23, 1927, the third child of Arthur and Mary Michel.

In 1947 she became a Registered Nurse continuing her nursing and education, and later she began teaching nursing until she retired. She married Frederick A. Rand on August 22, 1969.

She is survived by her nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and siblings Arthur Michel and Lois Meile.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Ruth’s name to the St. Vincent De Paul Society or to Agrace Hospice, or a charity of your choice.

A Memorial Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m.on Saturday, April 29, 2023 at St. Bernard Catholic Church, 2015 Parmenter St, Middleton.

I knew Ruth since 1970. She was always positive, open to fun, gracious and thoughtful of others. She collected fine china and Coca-Cola memorabilia. And she loved chocolate. I shall miss her. Rosemarie Carbino

The Koehn and Pulvermacher families loved our visits with Ruth and Fred. They were such thoughtful, kind, and intelligent people who listened so attentively whenever we got together. Although we hadn't seen Ruth in recent years, she and Fred live on in our hearts and memories. Our condolences to those who also knew and loved them.
