Richard Peaslee

Richard D. “Rich” Peaslee, age 52, passed away following an automobile accident on Thursday, March 24, 2016. He was born on April 8, 1963 in LaCrosse, WI, the son of Leonard and Judith (Kersten) Peaslee. He graduated from Stoughton High School in 1981 and attended MATC – Madison. Rich met Rebecca Doughty at the Rollerdrome in Madison and they were married on July 21, 1984 in Madison. Together they were blessed with the birth of their daughter, Nicole “Lena” in 1988. He worked the majority of his career at Kayser Ford-Madison where he was currently a Service Manager.

Rich loved spending time with his family. He was a die-hard Packer fan and loved Brett Favre. Rich was a homebrew master and enjoyed good beer with family and friends. He loved fishing, the outdoors and playing Euchre with his family. He enjoyed several trips overseas with Becky and his brother and sister-in-law, Jeff and Lisa Nickols. Rich was also an avid Ford enthusiast and liked building and fixing computers at home.

He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Becky; his daughter, Nicole Peaslee; brothers, Leonard (Laura) Peaslee and Fred (Laurie) Peaslee; sisters, DeeAnn Harris and Samantha Moen; foster siblings Ruth Nelson and Harry “Jr.” Kiesow; and many other nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his uncle, Mike Kersten.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm. on Thursday, March 31, 2016 at Ryan Funeral Home, 2418 N. Sherman Ave. Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. until the time of service on Thursday at the funeral home.
