Obituary

Richard "Dick" S. Bellile, age 86, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 27, 2025. He was born on August 22, 1938, to June E. (Lambert) and Wenzel J. Bellile. Dick served proudly in the United States Navy on the USS Hornet. He retired from the Rhinelander Paper Company.

Dad always looked forward to the Hornet reunions. He loved playing cribbage and listening to bluegrass. Dick had a special love for all dogs and all dogs loved him. He was a faithful Green Bay Packers and WI Badgers fan. He also loved to tell jokes and had an infectious laughter!

Dick is survived by his son, Will Bellile; daughters, Kim (Scott) Slivicke, Julie Miller; 5 grandchildren, Lucas, Jackie, Kristin, Robert, Joshua; 6 great grandchildren and one on the way; his sisters, Renee (Dennis) Peterson, Brenda Bowerman and Barb Smith.

He is preceded in death by his mother and father; brother, Bruce Bellile; and brother-in-law Lon Bowerman.

Special thanks to Interim Hospice Care, Eden Vista, My Choice WI, and ADRC WI for the loving care of dad in his final days.

Dick was a crazy, funny, neighbor. Always had a joke for you, or had the latest "News" in or around our neighborhood. Loved our dogs, did he come to visit them or us? He was quite the trickster, and yesterday April 1( April Fools Day) Dick's Obituary was in our Rhinelander News Paper. Julie and Kim My deepest Sympathy to you and your families. Kathy Kelley
