Obituary
COLUMBUS/DEFOREST - Beatrice C Quam, age 88, passed away on December 31, 2020. She was born on June 6, 1932 in Poynette, WI to parents Edwin and Hazel (Hamre) Fadness.
She retired from substitute teaching at the age of 80 from the DeForest Elementary Schools, she loved children and had compassion for special needs children. She was a lifelong member of Spring Prairie Lutheran Church, where she played the organ for over 50 years.
She will be remembered for her smile, kindness, and forgiveness for others. Her final words were “I had a hard life, but I choose to remember the good”.
Beatrice is survived by her 3 children, Keith (Rachel), Nancy (Ed Smith) Roemer-Smith, Gary (Gayle); 8 grandchildren, Josh, Derek (Kelly), DeAnna (Katie), Shawn (Tiffany), Justin (Blaze), Sarah, Heidi, and Jeffrey; and 12 great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband Carroll, parents, brother, John (Karen), son-in-law, Ron Roemer, grandson, Keith Wolf.

A private interment will take place at Spring Prairie Lutheran Cemetery.
