Alicia Melchor

Alicia Patricia Melchor age 36 passed away suddenly on Wednesday, September 16, 2020 in Madison, Wisconsin. Alicia was born to Hector and Susan Melchor in Dallas, Texas on March 15, 1984, and was raised in Madison, Wisconsin for most of her life. Everyone knew Alicia by her nickname "Bubs." It was given to her by her big brother when she was a baby and it stayed.

Alicia received her Bachelor of Science degree in Education majoring in Elementary Education and a teaching certification for Early Childhood through Middle Childhood from the University of Wisconsin - Madison in 2011. She was dedicated to teaching and being a lifelong learner. She enjoyed watching movies, yoga, playing board games, and goofing around with her nieces and nephews. Alicia loved family gatherings, and enjoyed making beautiful memories with her children, whom were her happiness and life.

Alicia is survived by her three children Olivia, Gabriella, and Maddox; parents, Hector and Susan Melchor; brother, Hector Melchor Jr; sisters Angelica (Nick) Melchor, Betty (Antonio) Melchor and Patty Melchor. Many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and lifelong friends. She is preceded in death by her loving great grandmother, Jewel Hanson; grandmothers, Patricia Schoettler and Elda Melchor; sister, Letty Melchor; and her lifelong friend, Candice Long.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11AM on Friday, September 25, 2020 at ST. PETER CATHOLIC CHURCH, 5001 N. Sherman Avenue, Madison. A visitation will be held from 10AM until the time of Mass on Friday at the church. Burial at Roselawn Memorial Park.
