Obituary
MADISON – James K. Nordness, age 71, passed away on Wednesday, December 9, 2020 at Agrace Hospice after a long illness. Jimmy was born on October 27, 1949 in Madison, WI to Idore and Loretta (Laufenberg) Nordness. He graduated from East High school and went on to enlist in the US Army. Upon returning from service he was a dedicated caretaker to his mother. Jimmy suffered from lung cancer, prostate cancer, and cancer of the neck which hindered his mobility but you never heard him complain. He enjoyed coin collecting, camping with his brother John “Jack”, and was a car enthusiast. Jimmy was a good guy and everyone enjoyed his company.
Jimmy is survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other family and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents and brother John “Jack”.
A funeral service will be held at 11AM on Tuesday, December 15, 2020 at ASSUMPTION GREEK ORTHODOX CHURCH, 11 North 7th Street, Madison. A visitation will be held from 10AM until time of service on Tuesday at the church. Burial at St. John’s Cemetery in Waunakee.
