Jacob “Jake” Peter Long, age 42, passed away on December 23, 2020 in Janesville, WI. He was born on November 15, 1978 in Madison, WI to Kerry and Leslie Long.
He was employed at Johnson Health Tech and took great pride in growing his knowledge of the industry. Jake was kind, deeply intelligent and had an infectious smile and sense of humor. He loved travel and good food. It brought him great joy to cook and share his appetite for food with those he loved. He was passionate about many different genres of music and enjoyed attending live shows, collecting vinyl and DJing. He was a champion of animal adoption and took his best bud, Winston, with him everywhere.
Jacob is survived by his father, Kerry (Lily) Long; sister, Rebecca (Chad) Heller, stepsister, Leah (Jon) Fisher; stepbrothers, Nathaniel (Elizabeth) Marcum and Samuel (Anne) Marcum; special aunt, Debbie (Anthony) Mraz, uncles, Robert Vincent and Kevin (Ruthmary) Long; and his pooch pal, Winston.
He is preceded in death by his mother; maternal grandparents, Peter Vincent and Doris Aloisi; paternal grandparents, Thomas and June Long.
