Obituary
Cottage Grove - Josephine Ann (JoAnn) Cullison “Nana Culli”, age 76, passed away on Wednesday December 16, 2020, at her home peacefully surrounded by her best friend and daughter in-law Michelle, son Joe and her beloved grandchildren after a final 2 ½ year fight with lung cancer. JoAnn was an inspiration with her tenacity and resiliency of battling off various forms of cancer continuously since 2004.
She was born on September 24, 1944, the daughter of Rose Falci and Leo Stutz. On September 18, 1965 she was united in marriage to her true love, James “Culli” Cullison. Prior to her retirement she was employed by AnchorBank where she worked for over 20 years and developed countless friendships. JoAnn was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend to the lives she touched. She was passionate about being involved in her grandchildren’s daily lives and a constant at the hockey rink, baseball diamond, or dance studio where all would enthusiastically greet her with a “Nana Culli!!!”. She cherished all the wonderful relationships she built with everyone she met anywhere she went. Nana Culli’s Happy Place was her numerous winter get away trips to Disney.
JoAnn is survived in death by her son Joseph (Michelle) Cullison, both of Cottage Grove, four beloved grandchildren, Santina, James, Joseph, and Josephine. She is also survived by many close cousins, relatives, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and loving husband James Cullison.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, Agrace Hospice or a charity of your choice.
Family will do services at a later date to include a celebration of her life later in 2021.
