Obituary
Madison- Darlene M. Weisberger, age 71, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 22, 2021 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born on December 6, 1949 to John and Georgianna (Dolezal) Novotny in Chicago, Illinois. Darlene married Sanford “Sandy” Weisberger on March 2, 1980 in Downers Grove, Illinois.
Darlene had many different careers throughout her lifetime, including: advertising, Jazzercise instructor, Pampered Chef consultant, and most recently a certified massage therapist. Her retirement days were spent volunteering, traveling and doting on her six grandchildren. She volunteered through Madison Area Technical College and Monona Terrace. She also was an integral part of her Breast Cancer Survivor Support Group. Her travels took her to many different exotic places, but she would always return to the beaches of Florida during the cold winters, followed by a weekend in the Dells to watch her grandchildren play at the water parks. Darlene’s charismatic personality and deep friendships were a source of joy and comfort to many.
Darlene was the beloved wife of Sandy Weisberger; loving mother of Brian (Morgan) Weisberger and Jamie (Philip) Mollner. Proud grandmother of Liam, Maxwell, Logan, Jillian, Callan and Margaret. Dear sister of Diane (Terrence) Folliard, Nancy Moravecek, the late John Novotny, and Carolyn (Doug) Haas. Fond aunt of many nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 1, 2021 at RYAN FUNERAL HOME, 220 Enterprise Drive, Verona, WI. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service.
