Rita R. Back, age 69, passed away on Friday, May 7, 2021 at Agrace HospiceCare in Fitchburg. She was born on May 26, 1951 to Alphons and Marie Back.
Rita worked for the WI Department of Revenue. She was a Charter Member of St. Peter Catholic Church and a member of Catholic Financial Life. Rita was proud to have taught religious education at St. Peter’s. Rita also had a great passion for nature and wildlife photography.
Rita is survived by her siblings: sisters, Anna Skaife, Rosanne Hill and Theresa Alt and brother, James (Patti) Back; friend, Tom Butterfield; and 11 nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Francis Back and brother-in-law, Clifford Skaife.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 13, 2021 at ST. PETER CATHOLIC CHURCH, 5001 N. Sherman Ave., with Father Grant Thies officiating. Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. on Wednesday, May 12, 2021 at Ryan Funeral Home, 2418 N. Sherman Avenue and also from 10 a.m. until the time of Mass on Thursday at the church. Burial will follow at St. Mary of the Lake Catholic Cemetery, Westport.
