Richard James Burwitz, age 88, passed away on May 11, 2021 at his residence. Richard was born on November 9, 1932 to parents Henry and Lucille (Walsh) Burwitz in Madison, WI.
He married Myrna Kirkpatrick on November 9, 1957 at Zion Lutheran Church in Clyman, WI. Richard served in the United States Navy as a Radio Operator from 1952 to 1956.
Richard is survived by his wife, Myrna; sons, Richard Lee Burwitz and Rodney James Burwitz, and daughter, Renada Burwitz-Buschman; grandchildren and great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews; 2 sisters-in-law, Lois Kirkpatrick and Connie Kirkpatrick; and friends and acquaintances.
He was preceded in death by Daniel and Alma Manning who raised Richard and his brother from the age of six; brother, Bill; and his biological parents.
A private interment will be held at Sunset Memory Gardens.
