Obituary
Kenneth Earl Hovey, age 64, passed away on May 9, 2021. Kenneth was born on February 16, 1957 to parents Norman and Jeanette (Lewison) Hovey in Madison, WI.
Kenneth was employed at Meriter Hospital for over 30 years in housekeeping. He loved to go on camping trips, traveling, white water rafting, old classic cars, flying kites and his thousands of vinyl records. He loved to help the homeless by shopping at Goodwill and St. Vincent’s and purchasing supplies such as tents or clothing items. Kenneth was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church for over 30 years.
Kenneth is survived by his son, Quenten, former wife, Sharon; 2 brothers, Dan and Bob; sister, Debbie; and several aunts and uncles.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his Uncle Herb, Uncle Alvin, Aunt Bonnie, Aunt Neva, and Grandma Schwersinske.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 15, 2021 at 2:30 P.M. at Ryan Funeral Home, 2418 N. Sherman Ave, Madison. A visitation will be held on Saturday from 1:00 P.M until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the River Food Pantry.
