Obituary
Windsor - Gwendolyn A. "Gwen" Showers, age 83, passed away on Thursday, July 22, 2021 at Waunakee Manor. She was born Gwendolyn Anita Johnson on November 16 1937, the daughter of Nels and Irene (Dieruf) Johnson.
Gwen was married to the late Robert Showers on June 14, 1958. Her hobbies included: playing cards, reading, sewing, casinos, and toddies. She loved her beloved furry friends, Dusty and Sie-Sie. She also cherished family gatherings and celebrations—especially Holidays.
Gwen is survived by her children: Dale (Mary) Showers of Nashville, TN, Steve (Zora) Showers of New Berlin, WI, Cindy Wilson of Madison, WI and Patti Muccio of Milwaukee, WI; grandchildren, Stephanie, Daniel (Lauren), Sam (Julia), Kate (Matt), Gina, DeLou, Nicole and Joe; great-grandchildren, Maryn and Della; brother, Ron (Jean) Johnson and sister, Audrey Smith
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bob; her parents; brother-in-law, Neil Smith and many memorable in-laws from Bob’s side of the family.

A public visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. on Friday, July 30, 2021 at Ryan Funeral Home, 6924 Lake Road, Windsor/DeForest. Private family services will be held, followed by interment at Norway Grove Lutheran Cemetery.
