Lorraine B. Boumeester, 100, passed away peacefully on August 8, 2021, at her residence. She was born on June 4, 1921, in Rice Lake, WI to parents Victor and Margaret Hauck Shimon.
Lorraine is survived by her 3 children, Larry (Jan) Boumeester, Jack (Linda) Boumeester, and Lori (Dennis) Hornung; 7 grandchildren, Tim (Tammy), Jackie (Mark Beise), Chris (Mary), Hayley (Patrick Gibbs), Paige (Dan Schuenke), Ryan (Melissa), and Bethany (Marc Christensen); 8 great-grandchildren, Vianne, Jack, Brewer, Elliott, Penelope, Harper, Luxe, and Tripp.
She is preceded in death by her husband, John, both parents, and sister Dorothy.
A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Tuesday, August 17, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Peter Catholic Church, 5001 Sherman Ave. A visitation will take place at the church Tuesday from 9:30 a.m. until time of Mass. Interment will take place at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Rice Lake.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Madison Public Library.
