Madison - Richard (Dick) Alan McNeely, age 75, of Madison, Wisconsin passed away on August 25, 2021. Dick was born on March 31, 1946 to William and Ruby (Woods) McNeely in Jasonville Indiana. He was united in marriage to Dr. Judith A. McNeely for 47 years.

Dick attended Indiana University Bloomington. He proudly served the United States Army Reserves. Dick had an impressive skill of storytelling and a gift of creating laughter. Dick had a talent with numbers and leadership. After several upper management positions in the finance industry, upon moving to Madison, Wisconsin in 1986 he held ownership and management in several companies until his retirement. After retirement, Dick proudly served as a crossing guard for the elementary schools in Madison.

Dick cherished his family, his Canadian fly-in annual fishing trips, travels, time spent at his river home, the family “Forty”, playing cards, pulling the slot handle, and most proudly served the role as protective Grandpa.

He is survived by his children Richard, Cathy (Andrew), and Teresa (Mark), grandchildren Emily, Max, Ava, Callie, Leo, and brothers William and Michael. Dick was preceded in death by his wife, Judi, parents, William and Ruby McNeely, and brothers James and Paul.
