Obituary
Madison – Randel “Randy” Stapelmann, age 75, passed away on Tuesday, August 31, 2021, at home. He was born in Madison, Wisconsin, the son of Victor and Sadie (Elmer) Stapelmann.
Randy attended East High School. He enlisted in the Marines in 1964 and served two tours of duty in Vietnam. Except for a short stay in Texas, Randy lived on the Eastside of Madison his entire life. He loved baseball in the summer and feeding and watching the birds in the winter.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara; son, Michael (Jenn); sister, Vicki Elmer; brothers, Scott (Kathy) Schultz, Ron Schultz; sisters-in-laws, Linda (Richard) Johnson, Bev Romfo, Nancy (Hans) Hansen; and many nieces, nephews, relatives, and special friends.
He was preceded in death by both parents; brothers, Ron Stapelman, Perry Stapelmann; sisters, Donna Eveland, Judy Hodges; sisters-in-law, Nancy Stapelmann, Nancy Schultz; and brother-in-law, Dean Eveland.
A special thanks to the staff at St. Mary’s Care Center and Agrace Home Hospice for the wonderful care he received. Deep gratitude to Perry’s daughter, Heather Stapelmann, for her loving care and support.
