Le Eldra “Lee” (Stender) Morgan, 96 passed away on Tuesday, April 7, 2020.

Lee was born October 30, 1923 in Elk Grove, Wisconsin, the daughter of Henry and Erma Stender. She grew up in Platteville, Wisconsin until the family moved to Madison in 1939, graduating from East High School in 1941. She worked for the State of Wisconsin, until she was a stay at home Mom from 1959 - 1971 while her children were young, and was also a Cub Scout den leader. She went back to work for the State of Wisconsin in 1971 until her retirement in 1989. After retirement, you could find Lee traveling, visiting family and spending time with her dear friends. She always enjoyed having the neighbors in for coffee and treats. She played cards with the same group of friends for over 50 years, and the same is said for the “Birthday Group”.

Lee was a member of Parkside Presbyterian Church for 75 years, until the church closed. She ended her religious journey as a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church.

Lee is survived by son Mark Morgan of Cleveland, TN, daughter Maureen Birch and grandson Alec Fowler of Madison, WI. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Robert Stender, sister Harriet Richards and daughter-in-law Janice Morgan.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, October 2, 2021 at 11:00 A.M. at Ryan Funeral Home, 2418 N. Sherman Avenue, Madison. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 9:00 A.M., with a service following at 11:00 A.M.
