Obituary
DeForest - James (Jimmy) Terry Yarbrough October 19h, 2021 passed peacefully in his sleep at home. He was born Sept 13, 1962 in Ayre, Scotland to Dwayne Yarbrough and Mary (Marion) Terry. Jim completed vocational school to be a mechanic. He loved cars and working with his hands. He loved fixing cars and had many bruised and bleeding knuckles to prove it. He enjoyed helping others with their cars and later would tell stories of the struggles, successes and humor of making the impossible repair possible.
His favorite things to do were fishing and having a bar-b-ques. He loved being on the water whether it was a lake or an ocean. Especially if the fish were biting! He made delicious bar-b-que spare ribs that you couldn’t say no to!
Jim is survived by his children, Megan Davis (Yarbrough) and Steven Davis, Orange Texas and Karl Yarbrough, San Antonio Texas; his grandchildren, Catherine Davis, Steven Davis II, Brandon Davis, Victoria Davis, Michelle Davis and one on the way; siblings, Della Koenig (Yarbrough) of Madison, WI, Janelle Johnson (Yarbrough)of Amarillo, TX and Michelle Thompson (Yarbrough) and Alan Thompson of SanAntonio, TX; nieces and nephews, Mark Dunn, Adrianne Sundby, Braxton Johnson, Alan Thompson Jr., Dwayne Thompson, Gary Thompson and Ashley Cabeldue.
A family memorial bar-b-que will be planned for July 2022 in San Antonio, Texas. Where we will say our final farewell and celebrate life with new and old family members and friends.
