Bruce Pfister

Bruce was a friend and Co-Worker of my Dad (Bob Patenaude. 1930-2017). My Dad valued Bruce's friendship and shared Bruce's appreciation for nature and the outdoors. Bob so looked forward to their annual downhill ski trips to Indianhead (in their 70's and 80's!) and Bruce was the one that made these ski trips happen/possible. My sympathies to the Pfister family and friends.

Bruce and I were colleagues in District 4 DOT in Wisconsin Rapids. Bruce, with his wide range of interests, was always a joy to talk with. Though it's been years since I saw him last, I have fond memories of our time together. As I recall, he never washed his coffee cup, believing I suppose, that it was like a fine tobacco pipe... Our condolences to all of Bruce's family and friends.

Daloris, Keith, and Craig,I remember your husband and dad very well. He was always so kind and soft spoken. I believe you, Daloris, also bandaged a cut for me one time at your house. Very fond memories of all of you. I am so very sorry for your loss.

Bruce and I were colleagues at the Wisconsin Department of Transportation. I knew him as a friend and co-worker in both Wisconsin Rapids and Madison. My abiding impression is of gentle, patient soul, an all-around decent person. He was a talented and conscientious engineer, of course, but what made him an exceptional human being was his never-failing kindliness.I am a better person for having known him and to have had the opportunity to work with him. Rest in peace, old friend

Bruce, you will be forever missed. We will cherish the time we were able to have you as our neighbor and most importantly our friend. We will miss our chats with you and seeing the light on in your kitchen...just knowing you were home as you kept watch over us and we you.
