Obituary

Madison – Paul Korz, Madison, passed away on February 8, 2022. His passing was far too soon.

Paul weathered illness and adversity with strength and courage. His love and caring of family, friends and co-workers was deep and abiding. His honesty, integrity, hard-working ethic, and sense of fair play harken to a time when a handshake sealed a man’s word. Paul’s grandfathers would have been proud of his character, accomplishments, and many talents.

Paul is the beloved son of Alan and Margaret and is survived by his proud parents, brother Carl and family, cousins, aunt, and uncle.

Arrangements are being handled by Ryan Funeral Home Verona. A Funeral Service for Paul will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, April 23, 2022, at Luther Memorial Church, 1021 University Avenue, Madison. A reception with lunch will follow in the fellowship hall. Paul was always willing to support the Nutrition Department in the design and the work involved in planning for the future. I really appreciated that he wanted the project to be the best it could be for students.

Condolences to Paul's family. I will pray for you all. I got to know Paul as his coworker at CG Schmidt and I will miss his quiet demeanor and wit.

I think of Paul every time I pass his house, so that's everyday .... we are neighbors and met because of our dogs. We enjoyed the dog park sometimes and his work on his trucks/cars and his story of his chestnut beam from a barn back east. I hope he got to finish the truck bumper he was making out of it. Paul was indeed a good man, taken way too soon, and our sincerest condolences to his parents and family.

Paul was a kind and considerate neighbor. He very much enjoyed time with his dog and taking great care of his vehicles. I miss seeing him. R.I.P.

Paul and I met in college. He was one of my only friends who had a car and showed me around Devils Lake area. Going to college in WI, we had an East coast connection. He was from Maryland and I was from CT. Although we had different views of the world, I was always impressed with Pauls drive to graduate college and start a great career! He was one-of-a-kind! Loved modern design and could tell me what different types of sidewalks were made of! Always had something to talk about and when the conversation was over alrighty then. My condolences to Pauls family for this tremendous loss.
