John came to stay with us in Limoges, France for a few weeks in 1982, he was immediately a family member. We laughed at his attempts to speak French which most of the time ended in fingers´ talking. He introduced us to James Taylor and taught me his most famous songs. We indeed had got a friend. Au revoir, très cher John, avec le grand regret de n´avoir pu te revoir avant ce départ bien trop prématuré. Toutes nos condoléances à sa belle famille. Ulrique Pratbernon Limoges, France

I knew John in our formative years in elementary school at Saint Catherine's. We were the among the tiny ones in the large class. At our 50th Eighth Grade Reunion in 2011, many were surprised that we both turned out to be normal sized adults. Although I only had a brief visit with John that night, I sensed that he was the same kind, gentle, supportive grown up version of the very nice kid of the 1950s. My condolences go to all of those who knew John as a husband, father, brother, co-worker and friend. I was blessed to have known him in so many years of my young life.

My late husband and I started our careers together at Curative Workshop with John. Although our work with special populations would take a different path, we were influenced by those early collaborations. Rest In Peace and thank you for your dedication.
