Obituary
DeFOREST – Braxton Luke Gusman, age 20, unexpectedly passed away on Sunday, April 17, 2022. Braxton was born on August 19, 2001 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Madison, WI. He graduated from DeForest High School in 2020. From childhood Braxton was an adventurous and determined soul. He had a love for sports; especially basketball and was a competitive player. Braxton was meticulous in his ways, especially with his hair and basketball shoes. He had a driven work ethic, most recently as a mason. His love for his dog Bailey and family was clear, always making sure to say “I love you.” Braxton’s infectious smile will never be forgotten.
“A thousand words or tears won’t bring you back to stay. For God said it was time to go his way. You are now safe in heaven with all the angels above. They will take care of you and give you their love. Our love for you will always remain. Never forgotten, never the same.”
Braxton is survived by his mother, Beth; sister, Brooke (Corey) Manthe; niece, Ayla; father figure, Randy Gusman; grandma, Dorothy Michalak; father, Casey; half sisters, Kaela and Samantha; and grandma, Karen Kvalo. He is further survived by aunts, uncles, cousins, other family and friends. He is reunited in heaven with his grandpa, Stan Michalak.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 4:00 PM on Thursday, April 28, 2022 at RYAN FUNERAL HOME, 6924 Lake Road, DeForest, with Father Jared Holzhuter presiding. A visitation will be held from 1:00 PM until time of services on Thursday at the funeral home.
