When we moved to Verona, we started attending Salem UCC. Tom and Debbie were the first to speak with us and make us feel welcome. We so appreciated their warmth and kindness. We came to know those traits are found in all members of the Bass family. We hope faith, Family and friends surround your family with love and support at this most difficult time. Please know you are all in our thoughts and prayers.

Uncle Tom cared for and about me. He offered me food when I was alone and not doing so well. Another time he had a company pay airfair to have me up to Verona for an interview at his suggestion when I lived in St Louis. He supplied me with an enlarger and helped me get started with a photography hobby. He always seemed to seek where there was a need and take steps to help out. I love him very much. Jerry Edgar Jr

Even thought I know that Tom had been struggling with health issues for some time, it is hard to grasp that he is gone. My heart goes out to Toms strong, caring, successful family that he and Debbie raised. Your character is the greatest tribute to him. And to Debbie. It is hard to imagine how deep the grief must be after 63 years of marriage, but I know that you will be surrounded by the love of your family as you all figure out life without him. Rest In peace, Tom.

I regret I am unable to attend Tom's funeral on July 23rd as I have covid. We grew up on the same street (Baltzell) and I have fond memories of hanging out with Tom. We tried to do some business with Tom and Park Printing but it didn't work out but gave us the opportunity to reminisce about our childhood together. My condolences to the Bass family. Bob Hartwig
