Barbara Noltemeyer

Barb was a former physical education teacher of mine at Portage. Thanks to her and other Phy. Ed. teachers at Portage my career path began. My interest in sports continued through the Girls Athletic Association program that Barb started and supervised. Before Barb retired I had the opportunity to work with Barb at the elementary level as a colleague. A memory of Barb that stands out from 1974 was when Barb came to Madison West to watch Portage girls volleyball play sectionals against West. She was the only teacher that came to watch. We will certainly miss seeing Barb when visiting Wisconsin and at their home in Arizona. What fun times we have shared with many laughs! She could grill a great tenderloin and most always beat us at golf! Our prayers go out to Jackie and the entire Noltemeyer family! Much love.Roz and Jeanne

Barb was a highly valued colleague and teacher for many years at Portage High School. We missed her when she retired; my condolences to all who are saying final goodbyes to her now.
