Madison- Phanh (Sameuchay) Khamphouy, age 82, passed away on Monday, July 4, 2022, at St. Mary's Hospital. She was born on October 21, 1939, in Laos. United in marriage to Kone Khamphouy on June 6, 1955. The two were inseparable, farming and raising a family in Laos until the country saw turmoil due to the rise of communism. Fleeing Southeast Asia as refugees in 1980 they made it to the United States specifically Texas, eventually making their way to Wisconsin. She was preceded in death by her son, Noudam and husband, Kone Khamphouy, she is also survived by her three daughters, Sompradith Laongoen, Kitty Khamphouy and Silvie (Mike) Mezera; five sons, David Khamphouy, Tony (Phonaly) Khamphouy, Kykham (Jennifer) Khamphouy, Amphone Khamphouy and Billy (Rosie) Khamphouy; as well as many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews, etc. A Buddhist Service will be held at 1:00 PM on July 7, 2022, at Ryan Funeral Home, 2418 N. Sherman Ave. Visitation from 12:00 PM until the time of the service at the Funeral Home.
