Obituary
Kelly E. Henry, 56, passed away early Sunday morning August 14, 2022 at the Agrace Hospice facility in Janesville, WI. Kelly was born August 20, 1965 in Madison, WI to Sherry (Johnson) Tydrich and Daniel Carlson.
Kelly dedicated over 20 years to her employer, WPS, before retiring early. During that time Kelly became a fearless union steward, which coworkers trusted to fight for them. Shortly after retiring Kelly was diagnosed with cancer, and it was time for her to begin a new battle.
Kelly loved spending time at the beach, especially at Chandler Park, a family favorite location.
Kelly had a dream of going to Hawaii, and unexpectedly that dream came true and she and her daughter were able to visit Kauai and enjoy the abundant beauty and serenity. Kelly was a private woman that kept a small close circle of people around her. We saw a different woman than most were privy to. She was one of the strongest women around, a fighter to the end.
Surviving family includes fiancé Martin Ohlin, daughter Kari Henry, grandchildren Wesley and Ruby Henry, one uncle Dennis Johnson, nieces Lauren (Dylan) McCarthy and Candice Henry, sister in law Terri Carlson, and her fluffy orange tabby baby Sunny.
Preceded in death by husband Kenneth Henry, mother Sherry Tydrich (Johnson), brothers Mark Holpin and Todd Carlson.
A special thank you goes to Agrace, the in home hospice staff and the inpatient staff helped Kelly and her family immeasurably at the end of a courageous battle.
A celebration of life in honor of Kelly, will be held from 12-3pm, Wednesday, September 14, 2022 at Ryan Funeral Home, 6924 Lake Rd., Deforest, WI.
