Ronald L. Peschel, age 86, passed away on Friday, August 19, 2022, at Four Winds Nursing Home. He was born on April 16, 1936, in Madison, the son of Leonard F. and Dorothy (Kilian) Peschel, Ron was a life-long Madison resident. He worked for the United States Postal Service for over 30 years.
In his younger years, Ron loved playing in fast pitch softball leagues and also loved baseball. He was a great Euchre player and loved to go to Ho-Chunk. Ron also enjoyed nice cars, especially Lincolns.
Ron is survived by his sisters, Marrianne Culbertson and Karen (Tom) Schreiber; sisters-in-law, Naita Peschel and Charlene Peschel; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Doris Ann Peschel and brothers, Charles and Richard “Dick” Peschel.
A prayer service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, September 2, 2022 at the Resurrection Catholic Church Chapel, 2705 Regent Street, with Father David Carrano officiating.
