James Mooney

Madison - James Phillip Mooney of Madison, WI passed away on October 8, 2022, at the age of 87 at St. Mary’s Hospital. James was born on October 21, 1934, in Madison, WI, the son of James L. Mooney and Leota M. Mooney of Madison, WI. He was a graduate of Central High School (Madison, WI). James retired from the Board of Education in Madison, WI after a 35-year career. James enjoyed travel, boating, and spending time with his family. He was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church (Madison, WI). He was always heard saying “better days are coming” and he was right. James is survived by Luella Mae Mooney (Manion) his loving wife of 18 years; his son Troy M. Mooney (Krystal) of Peoria, AZ; his daughter Lori A. Bodart (Gregg) of McClure, Illinois; his granddaughters Brittany N. Roberts (Logan) of Peoria, AZ, Amber N. Ingells of Portage, WI, and Ashley J. Ketchem of Fond du Lac, WI; and grandsons Aaron M. Mooney of Phoenix, AZ and William B. Ketchem of Fond du Lac, WI. James is also survived by his great-grandchildren – Madison, Jackson, Autumn, Xander, Declan, Mason, Mya, Maliah, Levi, Lashawn.
