Obituary
MADISON - Carroll M. “Bud” Tabaka, 92, of Madison, passed away peacefully on November 22, 2022 at University Hospitals after a brief illness surrounded by his family. A private service is planned for a later date.
Survivors include his wife of 66 years, Jeanette (Bruns) Tabaka; his sons, Daniel (Sherry) Tabaka of Cedar Rapids, Iowa and Phillip Tabaka of Middleton, Wisconsin; his grandchildren, and great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents Frank and Lucille (Maley), brothers James and Lynn, sister Mary Joan, and a daughter-in-law Becky.

When I came to work at the Dane County Regional Planning Commission in 1988, Bud was already a veteran member of the staff. I remember fondly his potato-onion casserole from one of our Christmas parties and I still have the recipe in his handwriting. He kept a list of noteworthy names of people who contacted the RPC and passed the list to me when he retired. Bud was a delight and I know he will be missed by many.
