Steve has been a very dear friend for 18 years. The ladies, in years past, harassed him so often that I nicknamed him "Dreamy". I don't believe I have called him anything else since shortly after he came to work at ORBIS. My fondest memories will be of discussing KTHR and of course, me pressuring him to adopt another pooch after Gunther passed, and the elation and joy when little Mr. Walter was finally added to his family. Dreamy, your newspaper will still be delivered each day to the office, and I will reflect on the times when people took your newspaper into the restroom and the craziness we created after. Your bike rack will remain outside. You are very sorely missed my friend. Give Gunther a big hug from me Dreamy!

I have yet to wrap my head around this, and my heart goes out to Steve's family. He was a cherished part of my life for the better part of 20 years, and I'll hold him in my heart always. I have SOOO many wonderful memories of time spent with Steve, our families and friends, and his first dog, Gunner. Got nothing but love for you, Steven! You'll be missed by many!

Steve, or "Wheezy", as he was nicknamed by me and some friends in high school, was my first love. I stole him from another girl by having a t-shirt made for his birthday that said, "Eat your heart out, I'm Lisa's". We were even on prom court together. Although we hadn't actually spoken in years, we kept in touch through Facebook. He was the sweetest, most kind man I've ever known and will be missed by so many. Rest in peace my friend. Love, Lisa Lear ❤
