Obituary

Jake Ryan Woelffer passed away unexpectedly on Friday, January 13, 2023, at the age of 28. He was born in Madison, WI on February 8th, 1994, to Tracy Woelffer. Jake had a special bond with his grandfather, Robert Woelffer, who he absolutely adored. He had an epic love for animals and the bond he had with his dog, Mary Lou warmed his mother’s heart. Jake’s other interests include music of all genres, video games, sports (Go Badgers!), and muscle cars. He was a proud and adoring father to his son Marshall. Jake was a beautiful soul who was very tuned in to his spirit.

Survivors include his mother, Tracy Woelffer; his son, Marshall Woelffer; mother of his son, Shannon Frey; Thomas Dusterbeck, who was Jake’s father figure and played a very special role in Jake’s life, and other friends and relatives. Jake had many friends that were dear to his heart.

Jake was preceded in death by his grandparents, Bob and Gladys Woelffer and his uncle, Michael Woelffer.

Jake’s place of solace was spending time at Off The Square Club in Madison, WI. Any donations in Jake’s remembrance can be sent to: Off the Square Club, 4 North Hancock St., Madison, WI 53703.

RIP Jake. Thank you for the fond memories that we together shared throughout the years. From the random late night car rides, lauging and listening to music to the late night conversations we shared. I will miss you more than I even can explain. You will always hold a very special and large place in my heart and I'm forever grateful for Marshall and the great memories that we shared spending time all together. Lots of love from me and your son Marshall.

Just a little while ago I met Jake at and I'm sorry for his loss. I could see how he loved his son and was proud.
