Fitchburg – Melissa M. Smith, age 54, passed away unexpectedly on March 7, 2023. She was born on April 2, 1968 in Eau Claire, Wisconsin.
Melissa was preceded in death by her daughter Carrie Buie and her father Steven Smith. Melissa is survived by her mother Paula Burke; siblings Tom (Bonnie) Smith, John Smith, Donna (Mark) Lessner, Steve (Stacy) Smith, Sarah (Tony) Elzen; grandson Dantae Smith; close friend Byron Gorman; and lots of nieces and nephews.
