Obituary
MADISON – Debra Ann Frappier, age 60, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 13, 2016 at Agrace Hospice, after losing her battle with cancer. Deb was born on April 6, 1955 in Colorado Springs, CO to Lawrence and Grace Oyer. She grew up in many places, eventually settling in DeForest, WI. Deb graduated from DeForest High School in 1973 and gave birth to a son in 1975. Deb was passionate about helping others and had many jobs throughout her life centered by that theme. She retired from her position as a Customer Service Specialist at Alliant Energy in 2014. She married David Farrey on June 8, 1996 and enjoyed 14 happy years before losing him to cancer in 2010. Cupid struck again and she married Dennis Frappier on September 14, 2012. Deb was a lifetime member of the VFW Woman’s Auxiliary, Post 8483. She had a strong faith and was an active member at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Madison. She enjoyed many outdoor activities such as boating and fishing, hunting and riding Harley-Davidson Motorcycles with her husband, Denny. She also liked to cook and was best known for her famous lasagna and carrot cake.
Deb is survived by her husband, Denny; son, Thomas (Wendy) Karow; brothers, Chuck (Mary Jo) Oyer, Lynn (Dawn McLaughlin) Oyer, and Todd Oyer; niece, Amy Jo (Ryan) Krenn; nephews, Nick Oyer, John Oyer, and Jerritt Oyer; her beloved four-legged fur baby, Harley, and many other family and friends. She is preceded in death by husband, David Farrey and parents, Larry and Grace Oyer.
Memorial services will be held at ST. PAUL LUTHERAN CHURCH, 2126 N Sherman Ave, in Madison on Saturday, February 20, 2016 at 11:00 AM, with visitation beginning at 10:00. A luncheon celebrating Deb’s life will be held at VFW Post 8483 on County Road CV in Madison following the service.
The family would like to extend special thanks to Deb’s care team at Agrace Hospice. Their compassion and support was greatly appreciated during a time of great difficulty. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church or to Agrace Hospice.
