Obituary

DeForest - Brody Bradley Koslowski, age 7, passed away peacefully in his home holding his favorite Lightning McQueen toy on March 25th, 2023 after a courageous battle with Battens Disease.

Brody was born on July 30, 2015 to Matt and Molly Koslowski. He quickly stole their hearts as he did with anyone he met.

Brody was silly, energetic, curious, mischievous, and loving. He loved to be outside at the park, riding his bike, going for walks, playing at the splash pad and most of all swimming. When he couldn’t be outside, he loved playing with his Lightning McQueen cars, snuggling with soft blankets, eating popcorn and watching or listening to his favorite movies. He was the best hand holder and hugger. Brody’s laugh melted hearts and brought all who heard it endless joy. He was such a bright light for anyone he came in contact with. In his short life he has taught us how to truly live. He will be forever cherished in our hearts.

Brody is survived by his parents Matt and Molly and brothers Colton and Jack. Grandparents Brad and Marcie Minter and Marc and Karla Koslowski. Aunts and Uncles, Mike and Amy Minter, Jeff and Michelle Minter, Joe and Jennie Soddy. Cousins Ella, Max, Owen, Ben and Mason Minter, and Jacob and Josie Soddy. He is preceded in death by his brother Patrick Koslowski. Great grandparents Lloyd and Patricia Paulson, Jim and Marilyn Minter, Earl and Marilyn Jacobson, and James and Joyce Koslowski.

In lieu of flowers please send donations to American Family Children’s Hospital or Batten Disease Support and Research Association.

A memorial visitation will be held on Sunday, April 2, 2023 from 2:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at Ryan Funeral Home, DeForest.

Dear Koslowski Family, My Condolences on your Loss of Brody. After reading his obituary, I realized that his Great Grandparents were neighbors of ours (Pat & Lloyd Paulson).
