Patricia Siedschlag

Patricia Ann (Groshong) Siedschlag, age 96, passed away on April 17th at her home in Madison from COVID.

Patricia was the daughter of Evangeline (Fall) and Andrew Groshong. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Leslie, her sister Virginia Lovhaug, grandson Ryan Uekert, and niece Sandra Marshall.

Patricia was born in Montevideo, MN, and moved to Valley City, ND, after she got married. She and her family moved to Wausau, where she lived for 50 years until moving to Madison nine years ago to be closer to her daughter and grandson.

Patricia was blessed to have a daughter Connie (Phil) Uekert formerly of Madison, and now of Venice, Florida; and son Jim (Deb) Sidd of Alexandria, MN. She also had four grandchildren, Jenni (Matt) Sidd Olson of Bloomington, MN, Andrew (Alicia) Sidd of Alexandria, MN, Patrick (Michelle) Uekert formerly of Madison and now of Cable, and Ryan Uekert, along with seven great-grandchildren.

As a young woman she worked as a dental assistant. When she moved to Wausau she babysat Kathy Burish and they remained lifelong friends. Patricia also worked for Walgreens for 10 years.

Family meant everything to Patricia, and she took special pride in her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a wonderful baker and everyone enjoyed her pastry, cookies, and brownies. After moving to Madison Patricia became a Wisconsin men’s basketball fan.

Patricia will be missed by everyone who knew her for her kindness, thoughtfulness, and love. As a dear friend once said, “Pat is like a magnet- everyone is drawn to her.”

Inurnment will be at a later date alongside her husband in the Lakeview Cemetery in Madison.
