Jane, I am saddened to learn of Richard's passing. I will always remember the fun moments we all shared together; Richard's giddy and mischievous laugh, eyes tearing causing him to double over in laughter trying to catch his breath. He certainly had a wonderful personality and was a good person and friend - one of a kind! My sincere condolences to you and the family, Sue Elphick

Richard and I were farm boy buddies when we were kids. I lived about a mile away. I remember arguing about which was a better tractor, John Deere or International (--he won--), biking to the store in Morrisonville for popsicles, chasing rats with baseball bats, and trying but failing to ride one very large, very messy pig. He was fun and funny, a kind and generous soul. I didn't see him much after high school, but I am told he never changed. Rest in peace, Richard, rest in peace. -- Michael Pierick
