Ann and I were in Wisconsin having dinner with David and other relatives last summer. I was reminiscing about the old days and mentioned when I was young, I would see Miller and Son's Grocery Store calendars in every kitchen. They were great. Early this year I received a package. I opened it and it was a calendar just like the ones I remember as a kid. It put the biggest smile on my face. I found out it was David who sent it. That's David, a caring person and he has a great sense of humor. He is missed. Geoff Pertzborn

Dave was a great friend, and my brother Steve's roommate for many years. He was a musical jam buddy of mine for years too! He has a nice guitar collection with some weird things thrown in like a trombone! Once when he was building his collection he and I went to a large guitar shop in LaCrosse. He was looking for a nice acoustic dreadnaught guitar, so he brought me along to play/audition guitars for him so he could hear them as an audience might hear them. I think I played "Wild Horses" on a bunch of them. He finally chose a Martin HD-28. He was a pleasure to be with. I admired his record collection and his guitar collection. I was really fond of his Epiphone Sorrento. It was a sweety as was Dave. Miss you old friend!

I met Dave only once but liked him immediately. I was instantly taken by his gentle and warm presence. I'm so sorry Laurie for the loss of your brother. I know your pain; I lost a sister just a few weeks ago.

So sorry to hear this sad news. Remembering all the fun we had as neighbors, playing lots of games like moonlight/starlight. Those are memories to treasure. Adele (Pulver) Olstad
