I helped coach Chris and his class for 2 years at East. It was great fun and I happened to be the backfield coach. Chris was a fullback and as good as there was. Beside being a wonderful person, he was made to play. One game he had a long run negated by a bad call. No problem, he took the ball and repeated the touchdown run. I wasn't surprised. I'm so sorry for the loss of a wonderful person.

My deepest condolences to out to the Lins family and to our community. I had the honor being a coaching colleague of Chris' and I am heartbroken for the loss of a young man of character and passion. To Chris's parents, Years ago I had your son in Geometry class. I recently had to start physical therapy after an operation and was assigned Christopher Lins. I recognized the name, but not his face on the clinic website. Masks were still required in medical clinics. I get to my appointment and realize after seeing him in person that indeed I had been one of his teachers over twenty years ago. It was an interesting experience having one of my students now being my teacher. What a wonderful young man you raised. He was able to live a full and fulfilling life in his short time on earth.
