Barbara Voight, born Barbara Lupient on March 3, 1927, left this earth on Saturday, March 19, 2016. Her last hours were spent being pampered by family and the special people from Agrace Hospice.
Barbara lost her soulmate, Percy A. Voight, over 43 years ago and would never re-marry. Her best friend and live-in daughter, P.J., died fourteen years ago. Barbara is survived by two sons, Thomas and Michael, and three daughters, Lynette Jandl , Ann Osborne and Margaret Adams. Her sister and two sisters-in-law are all that are left from that generation.
Barbara was an above average gardener, an original contributor to the Olbrich Park Garden Club and the Warner Park Recreation Center. She also had many friends from the Lakeview Library Scrabble Club.
The family wishes to express gratitude to the great people at Oak Park Place for four years of respectful care-giving. Agrace HospiceCare went above and beyond to help Mom and the family. Thank you.
There will be an open-house Memory Gathering at her Northside Madison home from 2-4 p.m. on Saturday, May 21, 2016 for friends and family. In her honor, be prepared to be both silly and dignified at all times.
