So sorry for your loss. Harland was a great guy and friendly to everyone he met. He lived a full life and made those around him better. My condolences to the entire family.

So very sorry to hear Uncle Harland has passed. We visited with him late winter along with two of my sisters/husband which brought back memories of going to the cabin to help remodel it & enjoying the scenery over the years, taking our kids to the cabin where one of our daughters caught their first fish! My dad, sister & I were the crew that welded & painted the Rol-o-bins for his Hy's company. He will be missed. Butch & Kat Carl & family.

In the short time I cared for hy, I became quite close with him, it was such a pleasure doing so. He always put a smile on my face and was so sweet- I cared for him like my own grandparent. He was loved by so many because he was a reflection of such- he gave love right back. He was respected because he was so humble and kind. Always hold a special spot in my heart forever. I thought this poem would be a great fit for what he would like us all to do. It's called Remember Me Remember me with smiles not tears, for all the joy through all the years. Recall the close as that was ours, a love as "sweet" as flowers. Don't dwell on thoughts that cause you pain, We will see each other again. I am at peace... try to believe, it was my time... my time to leave. But what a "view" I have from here, I see your face, I feel you near, I follow you throughout the day, you're not alone along the way. And when god calls you, you will be, and right by my side, right here with me. Till then, I'll wait by heavens door, we'll be reunited ever more! My deepest sympathies to the Carl family and friends.
