Dear Joellyn, I met Mary Lou in 1976 when as a new MATC instructor I was invited to join the informal coffee gathering in the 3rd-floor Home Ec kitchen at the downtown campus. The move to the Truax campus in 1986 changed the frequency of our interactions but not the joy. She spoke of you and your children often and we shared our love for our siblings and their children as life and its many milestones unfolded. Mary Lou was a delight and I will continue to remember the pleasure of her company. Patrick Flanagan

I had known Mary Lou for about 57 years as an instructor (MATC), co-worker, & a friend. I shall miss her. I was fortunate to have talked to her about a week before her death. Mary Lou was still talking about going to their lake home in Minnesota before the end of the summer. She was always talking about her family. My condolences to her family.
