Obituary
Sara D. Kimmerly, age 47, passed away on Sunday, September 3, 2023, at Badger Prairie Nursing Home, after a long battle with ALS. She was born on November 11, 1975, in Madison, WI the daughter of Gary and Kay (King) Kimmerly. Sara graduated from LaFollette High School in 1994. While in school she enjoyed athletics, including cross country track and gymnastics. Sara worked for Burlington Coat Factory for over 20 years. She enjoyed travelling, especially going on cruises.
Sara is survived by her mother, Kay Kimmerly; sister, Melynda Kimmerly; brother, Nicholas (Miranda Brummond) Kimmerly; nephews, Caleb and Jasper Clevenger; grandmother, Patricia Ryan; as well as many, aunts, uncles, cousins and other beloved relatives.
She was preceded in death by her father, Gary Kimmerly and grandparents, George and Laura Kimmerly and Daniel Ryan.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
The family would like to thank the staffs at UW Hospital and Badger Prairie Nursing Home for the wonderful care they gave Sara.
