Laurie Lapp

Laurie Anne Lapp passed away unexpectedly on October 6th of natural causes. Laurie was born on September 21, 1974, the daughter of Jerry and Ellen (Manthe) Lapp. She was a 1992 graduate of Lakeside Lutheran High School.

Laurie lived in Morrisonville for over 25 years and her love and compassion for others was her greatest attribute. She was always willing to lend a helping hand and had a heart of gold beyond the occasionally tough exterior. She loved her dog Xena and enjoyed taking her on long country walks.

Laurie was a social soul, always willing to share a hug and a smile and have a conversation. She enjoyed hanging out with her friends (especially if it involved dancing and singing to the 80’s), gathering with family and celebrating the holidays. She was generous, thoughtful and loved dearly by many.

Laurie cherished her parents and missed her mother Ellen greatly. She valued the time spent with her father Jerry, especially their Saturday lunches, which were made even better when her uncles George and Sid were able to join.

Laurie is survived by her father Jerry, her sister Lindsey (Tyler) Koppinger, brothers David and Bill (Suzanne). Nephews Maxwell, Sebastian and Brendon, other loving relatives and countless wonderful friends.

A funeral service will be held at ZION EVANGELICAL LUTHERAN CHURCH W6906 CO RD K Arlington WI on Friday October 20, 2023 at 11:00 am. A visitation will be held at church from 9:00 am until the time of the service. A continued celebration of Laurie’s life will be held at the Frog Pond Hwy DM in Morrisonville following the service from 1:00 until 4:00 on Friday.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Columbia or Dane County Humane Society.
