Anna Pauley

VERONA – Anna M. Pauley, age 95, passed away on October 26, 2023. She was born on November 13, 1927 in Portage, WI to parents, Glenn and Elizabeth (Lamb) Jones. Anna was a 1946 graduate of Janesville High School. On July 11, 1964, she was united in marriage with Ronald “Ron” Pauley in Janesville, WI. During Anna’s clerical career, she got her start working for Parker Pen Company, then spent over 30 years working for the Department of Natural Resources at the Fish Hatchery in Madison. She was a faithful member of Salem United Church of Christ in Verona where she was a member of the Women’s Guild. When she was able, she loved traveling to visit her sister in Texas. She also enjoyed working in her flower and vegetable gardens. Anna is survived by her children, Scott Pauley and Liz (T.J.) Vosberg; grandson, Aidan Vosberg; nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years; parents; sister, Jeanette (Courtney) Turlington; brother, Robert Jones; and a niece and nephew. The family would like to thank Agrace Hospice for their compassionate care. Memorials may be made to Agrace HospiceCare or to the Women’s Guild of Salem UCC. A Funeral Service will be held at 12:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 1, 2023 at Salem United Church of Christ, 501 Mark Dr., Verona. A visitation will take place one hour prior to the service, from 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. at the church. Interment will follow at Verona City Cemetery.
