Obituary
MADISON – Thomas “Tom” E. McConley, age 86, passed away on Thursday, after his battle with dementia, on December 14, 2023. Tom was born on December 3, 1937, in Madison, WI to Henry and Irene (Shaul) McConley. He was a graduate from East High School in 1956. After graduation, Tom served in the US Navy for three years. He then married the love of his life, Jacqueline Miller, on July 16, 1960. Tom was the Assistant Vice President of Commercial State Bank for over 20 years and later worked for Brinks Armored Car Service. Tom enjoyed fishing, bowling, biking, traveling, and spending time with his family.
Tom is survived by his wife of 63 years, Jackie; sons, Darren, Donn, and Dion; four grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and siblings, Barb, Patti, and Michael. He is further survived by other family and friends. Tom is preceded in death by his son, Dean “Guido”; siblings, Butch, Carol, and Linda.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 27, 2023, at ST. PETER CATHOLIC CHURCH, 5001 N. Sherman Avenue, Madison. A visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until time of Mass on Wednesday at the church.
The family would like to thank the staff at the VA Hospital and Oak Park Place for their care of Tom. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Peter Catholic Church.
Tom touched many lives and will be missed by all.
