When cousin Cheri married Armand I wondered how was this young, sophisticated, beautiful, city gal going to make it on a dairy farm, in the country, in the little town of Merrill, Wisconsin. Apparently a good, honest, hard working man with intelligence and a terrific sense of humor that loved her deeply did the trick. Using both of their many talents & dedication, together they forged ahead, while also giving to others. I fondly remember that Armand was accompanied by his dog King to work at the UW Horticulture research farm. Both Armand and King would greet us when we arrived at the farm. King had his own chair in the break room and was always there at lunch time. It made time spent at the farm feel a little bit like home!! Great memories! Mike Havey Emeritus Professor
