Shirley Clausen

Shirley Clausen passed away on April 4, 2024, at the Legacy Care Facility in DeForest, Wisconsin at the age of 89. Shirley had been a long-time resident of Walnut, Illinois before moving to Wisconsin with her husband Lawrence in 2018 to be closer to their family. Lawrence preceded her in death, passing in August of 2023. Shirley and Lawrence had been married 71 years. Shirley was a tireless, hard worker, and a driving force for her family. She worked as a telephone operator, kitchen staff at the Walnut Elementary School, salesperson, and accountant. She accepted all tasks with grit and determination. Shirley is survived by her son Roger (Carol) Clausen of DeForest, Wisconsin and daughter Rita Clausen of Janesville, Wisconsin; grandchildren Anna Clausen (Matt Howards) and Christopher Clausen (Anna Siliciano); great grandchildren Miles, Luka, and Isabel. Per Shirley’s request there will be no formal services.
